Also, I finished last two lines on the everyday fruits. From cherries to blackberries.

Special vocabs:

Mûres – blackberries

Framboise – raspberry

Fraise – strawberry

l'avocat - avocado

Accuracy issue

Google translate provided with a weird translation for avocado fruit – advocate. I guess I have to cross check the answers I get from free online dictionary.

Leçon neuf 9

Feb 16 2010 Tuesday

My lesson starts from learning Unit 4 of the radio archives. I was introduced to all the French voyelles with plenty of easy to examples to remember. I doubt that I would remember all at once, but I will keep listening to this unit again.

Notes:

Starting from 25:10 of the audio, there was a 17th century French song that helps to memorize French pronunciation.

Leçon huit 8

Feb 15 2010 Monday

Started the audio with Unit 3, had revision on signs of spelling, alphabet pronunciations, and acronyms of popular names in French.

Notes:

With the help of notes from the radio archives, this lesson is much easier. From the audio log, I was able to learn a more accurate pronunciation which I can’t from the emotionless, mechanical voices.

Leçon sept 7

Feb 14 2010 Sunday

Bonne année!
Gong Hei Fat Choi~
A busy day with traditional Chinese custom.

Since I have to travel to mainland China, so I will be using the radio archives and the learning tools I downloaded to learn, starting from today.

The radio archive (002)
Its content is based on a book which I do not have (the radio archives also provides some important notes), so it can only be a supplementary listening tool for me, and also to learn some extra words, which I have to check up my Chinese-French Dictionary.

Some of the words I learned today:

Bonne année – Happy New Year
Joyeux Noël - Merry Christmas

Also, I Started learning simple sentence pattern (from other grammar materials I downloaded:

Is this ….? (informal) / (formal)
C’est Peter? / Est-ce quec’est?

Yes, this is Peter
Oui, c’est Peter.

No, this is not Peter.
Non, ce n’est pas Peter.

Leçon six 6

Feb 13 2010 Saturday

Today I continued my lesson on the everyday fruits (starting from 3rd line).

Starting from peach to mango, these colourful pictures with audio is really good for self-learners. It allows me to repeat the words indefinitely.

Special words :

Pamplemousse - grapefruit

Raisins secs – raisins (English version is actually simplier J)

Confiture – jam

Started to follow a Taiwanese education radio (001), 30 minutes a day, involves basic grammar, culture, art, tourist spots and songs. The host is a professor from Tamkang University (淡江大學).

Romantic French

Unit 1 is introduction to salutations.
